Dream thinking
Thinking your way into a new life …
Oftentimes we cage ourselves mentally before the physical elements of living even get the chance to. It was a few years ago now that I found myself on my knees in my closet, facedown and crying out.
I was tired of being tired and wanted to escape, be somewhere else living a “new” life. On that floor, my master love source became more than just a cry out to the unknown. I was real and really needed strength that I, bafflingly, could not generate myself. With everything I thought I knew, I knew nothing about myself.
I’d gotten so far away from the path I’d promised myself I’d take; little did I know then, the plans we set for ourselves oftentimes are pre-cast destiny that’s more about our obedience, integrity and trust rather than our actual education and experience or idea of self.
What I learned on that floor was my productivity toward my dream was in direct connection to what I thought about myself.
Who do you think you are? A question we flagrantly throw around when in disagreement with someone’s exterior thoughts of themselves is the exact question I had to ask myself honestly and with no judgment against myself. The answers didn’t come quickly, but they did come, releasing me to new, ambitious, creative, enlightening and powerful revelations about whom?
Me!
The recalibration of my thoughts toward my “inner-man” gave me new life, the ability to forgive myself and past hurts, the strength to move forward and the acceptance of my personal gift of self-expression.
Remember this: people will tell you who you are if you don’t tell yourself.
